The Autonomous Port of Paris is a State public institution whose mission is to develop waterway transport of goods and passengers in the Ile-de-France region. It achieves this by developing, maintaining and operating the port facilities of Paris and the surrounding region. Today, Port of Paris is the number 1 river port in France and number 2 in Europe, with about 21 million tonnes transported by inland waterways in 2010.
  PORTS de PARIS
Rouen, a multi-faceted port: the Port of Rouen is a seaport, inland waterway port, estuary port and so much more. Port of Rouen occupies a strategic position within the French port system.
It is situated right at the heart of a major agricultural region and is now Europe’s leading grain export port. Its radius of influence covers a big petrochemical industry region and petroleum-based products make a substantial part of its traffic.
Finally, the proximity of the Paris region and the dynamism and diversity of Rouen’s economic fabric have enabled the port to handle all types of goods. The specialities of the Port of Rouen are now grain, refined petroleum products, forest and paper products, agri-food products, heavy lifts, containers for North/South destinations, etc.
  PORT de ROUEN
Le Havre, a major European port: The second biggest French port and fifth biggest North-European port. The leading French port for container traffic.
40% of all French crude oil passes through Le Havre terminals. As the first port of call when sailing the English Channel/North Sea route through which a quarter of the world cargo trade passes in transit, Le Havre is included in the round trips of large liner ships providing or able to provide the shortest transit-times for intercontinental trade.
As a deep-water seaport, Le Havre can accommodate all types of vessels around the clock and all year through, without any tidal constraints. Every day, about 10 container vessels operated by the worlds biggest shipping lines are received in the Port of Le Havre sailing to and from every continent.
